Ventiva showcased their fanless ICE9 thermal management system at Computex 2025, demonstrating its ability to cool laptops with up to 45W TDP (Thermal Design Power). The ICE9 system utilizes Ventiva’s patented Ionic Cooling Engine (ICE) technology, which eliminates the need for traditional fans, resulting in quieter, slimmer laptops with efficient cooling. The system also features intelligent software control, allowing it to detect and manage dust and airborne contaminants to optimize performance.
Asserting their capability, Carl Schlachte, Chairman, President, and CEO, Ventiva, said, “Ventiva technology is redefining what’s possible in electronic design, with this demonstration of a Dell 45W TDP laptop showcasing how our silent, intelligent, thermal management solutions are ideally suited for high-performance, AI-enabled laptops. Our ICE9 thermal management system delivers silent computing that speaks volumes, enabling our customers to unlock new levels of innovation in performance possibilities, while offering an entirely new approach to thermal management that enhances user experiences in unprecedented ways.”
The ultra-compact ICE9 solution enables laptop designs with a height of less than 12 mm, rivaling the thinnest laptops on the market today.
