What are the latest products and services offered by your company for HVAC & R industry?
HVAC & R industry has two types of chillers; one uses water cooled condensers equipped with cooling towers – and the other is air cooled chillers equipped with air cooled condensers.
We offer Louver type Mist Cooling System for water cooled chillers where conventional cooling towers can be replaced with energy efficient Mist Cooling System. Due to its high efficiency, huge amount of energy is saved on compressor motor of chiller and that too with ZERO fan power.
In case of air-cooled chillers, we are supplying our Mist and Cool system as a water spray support to reduce incoming air temperature. This is a high-pressure operating system that uses very fine misting nozzles. Mist created instantaneously evaporates in air which gives the desired cooling effect. These Mist Creator nozzles are installed on the periphery of condenser units for cooling incoming air. This helps in operating the chiller at best efficiency giving compressor power saving.
How is sustainability influencing cooling tower design and selection?
Sustainability is direct function of low-down time of machine – and definitely reduced maintenance cost along with best possible cold-water temperature are important factors. Therefore, to have sustained and consistent production in industries, one must consider aforesaid facts in designing cooling towers.
Could you focus on the advantages of the Mist Evaporation System for Zero Liquid Discharge?
We at MREPL design, manufacture and supply new age evaporation systems for zero liquid discharge. This is much economical and proven technology and use very less steam. In our system, we use our own patented technology of mist creator nozzles. Incoming water is heated using small steam quantity and circulated through evaporation chamber for 20 hrs, where part of water is evaporated in every cycle and water gets more and more concentrated. Thus, at end of the cycle of 20 hrs, total water gets evaporated and only slurry with 3L PPM remains as residue and it is circulated through the decanter to separate salts and effluent. These systems save huge amount of steam and in turn coal as consumed by the conventional system.
What makes Mist Cooling different from conventional wet cooling tower systems?
The most basic difference between Mist Cooling System (MCS) and conventional cooling towers is that water is sprayed in form of fine mist inside louver type chamber vertically upwards. Hence, water gets two times to travel as against one way for Cooling Tower.
Secondly, water particle size is in <50 micron in MCS and ~5 mm in conventional cooling towers. These water particle sizes make MCS most efficient and effective. Detailed difference is given in the enclosed table as Annexure-A. MCS is the only system that can ensure an approach of 1°C to 3°C.
How important do you think R&D is, especially as the HVAC&R industry undergoes a major transition?
R&D is the back-bone of every sector or industry. It is equally important to offer innovative ideas, economical and energy saving aspect in HVAC & R industry too.
As industrialization goes on increasing, globalization is increasing, every player in this sector to remain ahead needs to invest on innovation and create sustainable and long-lasting products and offerings. Working and offering green energy-based products shall play vital role considering huge energy consumed per TR by HVAC products. Therefore R&D is extremely important in this sector too.
How do you manage to carry forward a sustainable approach while aiming to manufacture high-quality products?
As most of our components are manufactured in-house, there is not much dependency on suppliers. Our quality department carries out in process quality checks as well as key fit ups are done prior to dispatch ensuring highest quality standards. We have our own R&D set-up and constant improvements are being carried out to make cooling towers most affordable and delivering higher and consistent performance.
What technological innovations would you like to incorporate in Mist Technology to make it more energy and cost efficient?
The latest technological innovation is our Induced Draft Mist Cooling Tower where we have combined the technology of Mist & Fan Power in order to achieve energy efficient cooling in the lowest available plot size. Complete in-house production of ‘cooling tower’ is our target to make it most ‘cost efficient’.

How is your pan-India network to offer prompt maintenance service?
We have our central corporate office in Pune and regional offices or associates all over India. We support customers from these locations and our service engineers are committed to attend the problem within 48 hrs in person or within 24 hrs if attended virtually.
What is your business outlook for the coming years?
We continue to strengthen our complete inhouse manufacturing capabilities for cooling towers, ensuring tighter quality control, higher consistency, and improved product reliability. Our Production Planning team is committed to accelerating manufacturing cycles through clearly defined targets, optimised workflows and enhanced capacity utilisation.
Parallelly, our focused R&D initiatives are driving innovation and future readiness. The team is actively engaged in the development of next-generation solutions such as Adiabatic Cooling Towers and Air-Cooled Condensers, aligned with growing industry demand for energy-efficient and water-saving technologies.
With a strong emphasis on quality, speed, and innovation, we are well positioned for sustainable growth and expanded market opportunities in the coming years.
What would you like to communicate to your potential customers?
Energy saving and maintenance-free cooling towers are the needs of this era, so we urge to use our Induced Draft Mist Cooling Towers that are maintenance-free, deliver near WBT cold water temperature for the life of cooling towers i.e., over 20 years. There are no fills hence there is no need of any downtime and maintenance of cooling tower giving up to 50% fan power saving.
