Americold Realty Trust, Inc., has appointed Bryan Verbarendse as Chief Operating Officer for North America. Americold owns and/or operates 242 temperature-controlled warehouses, with approximately 1.5 billion refrigerated cubic feet of storage, in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and South America. The company’s facilities are an integral component of the supply chain connecting food producers, processors, distributors, and retailers to consumers.
Commenting on Bryan’s appointment, George Chappelle, Chief Executive Officer of Americold, said, “We’re pleased to welcome Bryan to the Americold team. Bryan brings deep experience in retail and whole grocery supply chain and I am confident his experience will benefit our team and help us better serve our customers in North America.”
Bryan will lead Americold’s North America operations and various support functions to enable the organization to drive efficiency and provide best-in-class service across its operations team. He brings more than 31 years of experience to the company. Prior to joining Americold, he served as Senior Vice President of Distribution and Replenishment for Albertson. He has also served as Group Vice President of Distribution at Albertson and held General Manager roles at Albertson and SUPERVALU. He holds a BBA in Finance from Boise State University.
