The European refrigeration and air conditioning contractors’ group AREA has signed an MoU with ISHRAE, the Indian society of HVACR engineers.
AREA, the European association of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) contractors. Established in 1989, AREA voices the interests of 25 national associations from 22 countries representing 13,000 companies employing 110,000 people and with an annual turnover approaching €23 billion.
The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 28,780 HVAC&R professionals and Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi.
The document, signed by AREA president Marco Buoni and ISHRAE National President Vikram Murthy at AHR Expo or ASHRAE meeting in Orlando, was described as a big step towards collaboration in the sector.
The MoU covers mutual cooperation in sharing information, competence, and business due to the growth of the RAC sector globally and in particular in EU and India.
