Recently, one Indian start-up company Brisker Electronics has started manufacturing Modulating Thermostats with Modbus RTU RS485 Support. With a view to designing smart products related to the HVAC control industry, the Nagpur-based company was set up in December 2019 by a team of Electronics and HVAC experts led by Suyog Buradkar.
In the beginning, Brisker emerged just as an electronics product development firm, when it designed its first product – an ‘Industrial Relay Module with MODBUS RTU Support’. After the product was installed and received appreciation plus feedback from the field, in the beginning of 2020, Brisker decided to start designing a digital thermostat with some smart features like PID with Fuzzy Logic algorithm.
At the outset of this journey, Brisker attempted to analyse the existing challenges in the market, in terms of cost, reliability, integration and customisation. It began to build a thermostat that could be easily integrated with any PLC, SCADA or BMS system.
The Brisker Electronics’ thermostat has some input points for ‘Energy Metering’, ‘0-10VDC Modulating PI output for Modulating Valves’, ‘230VAC ON /OFF output for Non Modulating Valves’, ‘Variable Speed Control for FAN Motor’ and ‘Drain Pump Control with Float sensing’. It is now supporting its customers with customized products related to HVAC machinery, which are most commonly used in Fan Coil Units, Cassette Type Units and Indoor Units and major drives connected to centralized chilled water systems.
