Carrier Transicold will present a range of electric and hybrid transport refrigeration systems designed to help fleets reduce emissions, lower fuel costs and comply with evolving regulatory requirements at Transport 2026 in Lillestrøm, Norway. Commenting on their exhibition-display plan, Jan Skjoldby, Managing Director, Scandinavia, Carrier Transicold, said, “Electrification, sustainability and digitalization are increasingly shaping cold chain transport in Scandinavia. At Transport 2026, we will focus on solutions that help customers respond to these challenges and support more efficient refrigerated transport operations.”
Addressing the growing demand for transport refrigeration electrification, Carrier Transicold and Addvolt will display the [R]eCool plug-in battery retrofit system for Vector refrigeration units. The system enables operators to convert existing dieselpowered semi-trailers to hybrid or fully electric operation, helping reduce emissions, fuel costs and noise, while enhancing fleet value. [R]eCool leverages Addvolt’s advanced power electronic technology, with a battery pack expected to deliver a lifespan of more than 12 years.
The exhibit also includes the Vector S 15 trailer refrigeration unit, featuring a semielectric architecture designed to deliver refrigeration performance comparable to the legacy model Vector 1550 in diesel mode.
