CIAT, a part of Carrier Global Corporation, has introduced a new range of VectiosPower rooftop air conditioning units operating on R-454B refrigerant, offering customers an optimum application solution. With a GWP of 466, R-454B’s overall carbon footprint is more than 80% lower than HFC R-410A, the refrigerant it replaces.
Detailing on the launch, Natividad Molero, Product Manager, Rooftops, CIAT, said, “We believe VectiosPower operating on R-454B offers the best all-round solution for the environment, installers and building occupants. VectiosPower operating on R-454B offers all the space-saving and low noise benefits of the previous generation, while using the best refrigerant for rooftop applications, reducing environmental impact and delivering higher efficiencies and lower operating costs. And with its advanced indoor air quality technologies, such as high-efficiency filtration, fine air flow control and optional CO2 sensors, it supports the highest levels of comfort and wellbeing, and aligns with #CIAT4life for the creation of healthier indoor environments.”
The updated VectiosPower range offers the same options as the previous series on R-410A, and exceeds Ecodesign 2021 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) requirements for cooling by up to 42% and Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) for heating by 10%.
