Daikin has launched the latest addition to its VRV 5 Heat Pump range, the new concealed floor standing unit, further enhancing the company’s extensive R-32 portfolio. This innovation is designed to provide a versatile and comfortable heating and cooling solution for decarbonizing commercial buildings.
The new floor standing unit incorporates Daikin’s advanced Shîrudo technology, ensuring full compliance with the IEC60335-2-40 standard and providing installers and consultants peace of mind. A key enhancement to the floor standing models is the integral airflow circulation principle, which delivers an installation versatility comparable to wall-mounted and cassette units. Consequently, it can easily be installed in small room applications. With this solution, Daikin is the first to address the traditional room size limitations of floor standing models that use R-32 refrigerant.
With Shîrudo Technology Daikin tackles the IEC requirements concerning the mild flammability of R-32. According to the company there is no need for time consuming studies or additional installation and commissioning work. Buildings can be designed stress free and projects can be validated in the Xpress software.
Shîrudo Technology ensures compliance to IEC60335-2-40 by integrating a leak detection sensor in every unit, a visual and audible alarm in the Madoka controller and shut-off values in the outdoor unit or SV box.
The VRV 5 with R-32 refrigerant is Daikin’s most comprehensive low carbon solution for commercial buildings, compliant with the EU F-gas regulation phase-down path.
