Daikin plans for a third factory in India to support its existing plants in Neemrana, Rajasthan. Reports of the additional plant have now resurfaced following news of Daikin’s plans to expand its business in Africa.

Daikin is said to be ready to take advantage of Indian government manufacturing incentives to set up a third manufacturing plant in South India, the exact location of which is expected to be revealed shortly. The Japanese manufacturer established an office in Nairobi, Kenya, at the end of last year and recently revealed details of plans to enter the market in Tanzania in a collaboration deal with fellow Japanese IoT company, Wassha.

In addition to supplying the African markets, the new Indian factory will also provide additional capacity for the domestic market.
