I A view of Fujitsu’s booth at AHR Expo 2024…

Fujitsu General has showcased its AIRSTAGE brand of air conditioners for international markets at AHR Expo 2024. Viewing North America as one of their key markets, they are working to expand their lineup of large VRFs and other products, strengthening ties with local partners. At this year’s show, they have introduced R-32 refrigerant in the North American market, along with heat pump air conditioners and control equipment.

The Fujitsu General Group is dedicated to ‘Sustainable Management.’ This means working to shape a more sustainable society through their business activities, together with their customers. One of their key themes in this effort is ‘Contributing to the Earth.’ At AHR Expo 2024, they have shown their commitment to this market to a new level, with products aimed at meeting environmental needs. This includes their adoption of R-32 refrigerant for cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

The AIM Act was enacted in the USA to gradually reduce emissions of HFCs (hydrofluorocarbons). The law mandates an 85% reduction in HFC emissions by 2036. In accordance with this law, all equipment that uses a refrigerant or gas fuel that has a significant impact on global warming will be regulated. The new law has led to growing environmental awareness in the USA. R-32 is a refrigerant with a lower global warming potential than conventional refrigerants. It is now drawing a lot of interest for its ability to help air conditioners comply with the new regulations.
