NewCold’s facility in Corby, UK, now proudly holds BRC Storage and Distribution certification. This achievement is made even more special in that it comes mere months after the cold storage warehouse’s opening at the end of 2022.

This globally recognized standard reflects NewCold’s commitment to best practices in food safety management. The certification is an important part of their risk management programs and is a critical pillar of their promise to meet customer requirements.

Commenting on the achievement, Graham Harvey, VP of Global Quality, Safety and Sustainability, said, “This highlights our relentless focus on best practices and continuous vigilance in food safety. Our product safety management systems ensure we meet the highest standards.”

The certification is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Corby team and NewCold’s expertise in cold chain logistics. All NewCold sites globally are pursuing certification of a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC Storage and Distribution, says Harvey.

NewCold’s Corby facility is a fully automated 41-meter-high (134 ft) cold storage with 75,600 pallet positions and nine automated stacker cranes
