Steve Lotz has been promoted to the position of President of Ohio-based Basco Manufacturing Co. The proposal of his promotion was approved unanimously by the Basco Board of Directors. Lotz will continue to serve on the company’s executive committee and help develop and drive Basco’s growth initiatives.
His background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and nine years of experience in engineering at General Electric. In his new role, Lotz will be responsible for establishing the company’s annual and long-term strategic goals.
Initially, in 1994, Lotz was overseeing the manufacturing facility in Basco. Then he became the Executive Vice President of Operations – and continued his work for 19 years. He was named CEO of the company in 2019. Thus, Lotz has a vast knowledge of manufacturing and engineering along with a long leadership experience.
