Camfil has recently inaugurated its expanded manufacturing plant in Batu Gajah near Ipoh, Malaysia. This strategic move emphasizes Camfil’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, growth, innovation, and addresses the increasing demands of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market. The grand opening of the expanded plant was a momentous occasion attended by esteemed guests, including their guest of honour, the Swedish ambassador in Malaysia, Dr Joachim Bergström.
Alan O’Connell, Camfil APAC President was also present in the ceremony, and emphasized, “The opening of the new plant is a significant milestone for Camfil in the APAC region. It strengthens our ability to meet the growing demand for air filtration solutions while upholding our commitment to environmental responsibility.” Additionaly, the facility includes a new showroom and an auditorium specifically designed to facilitate customer visits, product showcases, product launches, training and industry events.
Karunagaran Krishan, VP Supply Chain for APAC stated, “The new plant features diversified production lines, such as Molecular Filter, Turbomachinery and HEPA/ULPA filters. This introduction enhances Camfil’s capabilities, allowing us to deliver cutting-edge solutions.” The plant also incorporates advanced laboratories dedicated to research and development.
As a special highlight during the grand opening ceremony, Camfil Chief Airgonomic Officer Alain Bérard presented a unique recognition to the Chief Airgonomics Officers in Malaysia, recognizing their pivotal role and their dedication to take control over the Indoor Air Quality that people breathe in their workplaces.
