
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce has joined hands with Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club and the Electrical and Electronics Industry Club, the Federation of Thai Industries, to organize Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning 2024 (Bangkok RHVAC 2024) and Bangkok Electric and Electronics 2024 (Bangkok E&E 2024), featuring cutting-edge innovations that answer the needs of the world market and a variety of products and services from well-known local and overseas manufacturers under the concept of “One Stop Solutions for Net Zero Future”
This year the DITP has cooperated with the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club and the Electricals and Electronics Industry Club, the Federation of Thai Industry to organize the first full-scale Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 14th Bangkok RHVAC and the 10th Bangkok E&E under the theme of “One Stop Solutions for Net Zero Future.” It will feature new environmental friendly technology trend that answering the needs of both manufacturers and consumers with a goal to achieve NET ZERO emissions.
Natiya Suchinda, Deputy Director-General of the DITP revealed that Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E has long been successfully organized and recognized as the largest trade fair of its kind in Southeast Asia. Thailand’s HVACR and E&E industry has continually developed with new innovations that response to the global needs so its products have been well received by buyers from around the world and the country has become a leading manufacturer and exporter in the industry.
The trade shows will have 300 exhibitors from Thailand, ASEAN, China, Hong Kong, Korea, India, Middle East and Europe which are manufacturers of air-conditioning products, refrigerators, freezers, compressors, experts in cold storage design and construction as well as leaders in electrical and electronic products including home appliances, industrial/power supply, IT, lighting, parts and accessories in 800 booths over 20,000 square meter exhibition space. And it will attract more than 10,000 visitors from across the globe.
There will be highlighted activities for special products and innovations, divided into 3 zones namely “One Stop Solutions for Net Zero future” Exhibition, presenting the problem of global warming and climate change and the development of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry and the Electric and Electronics Industry to achieve the goal of NET ZERO emissions within 2065; “Product Highlight”, presenting products from exhibitors which answer the needs of Net Zero; and “OZONE and e-Waste”, presenting research and information from allied organizations about Ozone conservation and electronic
waste management.
Moreover, there are many interesting activities including seminars in hot topics for those in the industry such as “Certification Guidelines for Ammonia Refrigeration System as Required by Law to Reach Carbon Neutrality”, “HVAC and Nearly Zero Energy Building Approach”, etc. and panel discussions with green influencers to move forward to Net Zero Future.
Also, is this year special “Virtual Trade Show”, which will provide an opportunity to meet with leading manufacturers and producers from around the world through online platform without participating in the show.
Dr. Naran Sirisantana, Chairman of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club, the Federation of Thai Industries said that Thailand is still the production base of major international brands. However, Thai manufacturers have to continually develop their products to keep up with the global trends and answer the needs of local and world markets such as products with higher efficiency, saving energy, using environmental friendly refrigerant or alternative energy like solar power. The products have to be designed with Net Zero in mind, using Iot or AI to keep tracking of operation, analysis and control for maximum efficiency or products which response to health issues such as PM2.5 and indoor air quality.
Suradej Boonyawatana, Chairman of the Electrical and Electronics Industry Club, the Federation of Thai Industries, said that this year, the export of Thailand’s electrical and electronic products is expected to grow by 5% with a direction to “High Tech, High Value Supply Chain” by raising the standards of electronics and semi-conductor industry to be the world’s semi-conductor investment base and connecting together the government sector, education and production. Major markets for electrical and electronic products are still the US, Europe, China, Japan and ASEAN and there are opportunities that China or the US will use Thailand as their production base for export.
Bangkok RHVAC 2024 and Bangkok E&E 2024 will be held during 4-7 September, 2024 at Hall 98-100, BITEC, Bangkok. This trade show will be open for trade visitors during 4-6 September, while public visitors will be invited to shop and visit the exhibition booths on the last day of the event.
