The Board of Directors of Secop GmbH has recently announced the appointment of Dr. Andreas J. Schmid as new Group Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Schmid has taken over the new role from May 3, 2021. He has more than 20 years of international experience as a board member, managing director and manager. In addition to strategic corporate development and the development of new business areas, he has extensive and in-depth know-how in mergers & acquisitions, PMI, portfolio management, lean management and digitalization.
Dr. Schmid studied physics at Technical University of Munich and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Darmstadt. Secop’s team expressed their happiness to welcome Dr. Schmid on board. Dr. Schmid said, “I am proud to join the Secop team and look forward to working with the board of directors, employees, customers and partners worldwide.”
