All we may know, Covid afflicted global growth like no other topic during 2020. In HVACR industry, many events and meetings cancelled, postponed or gone virtual. This however, unfolded innovative opportunities. People got used to online – in jobs and businesses; manufacturing become more self-reliant. The most obvious impetus was Atmanirbhar abhiyaan and Make in India initiative, providing a fillip to boost domestic manufacturing.

Seemingly, vaccination drive in India begins, challenging storage and transportation of Covid vaccines developed, because of pharmaceutical industry requirement to maintain storage at very low temperature – for its potency to remain intact. Much emphasis is laid on cold chain expansion and storage capacity. Maharashtra received 9.63 lakh doses of Covishield for distribution. For it, 3135 cold storage centers’ have been set up to store vaccine. In addition to cold chain, 21 walk-in coolers, four walk-in freezers, 4153 Ice Lined Refrigerators and 3937 deep freezers have been made available.
