UV Health Group, a US-based designer and manufacturer of antimicrobial, energy-efficient UV products, launched the SafeAirUV System portfolio. The portfolio consists of two products, Confidence LED Lighting, which offers state-of-the-art LED downlighting with virus-killing capabilities and can be installed in drop ceilings within minutes, and Assurance SafeAirUV fixtures provide the same virus-killing capabilities and can be mounted or hung from the ceiling. The SafeAirUV products actively circulate air and eradicate all airborne pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2, while people are safely in the room. The product is built with UV-C LEDs that are sealed in a chamber to ensure no humans are exposed to any UV-C light, offering a safer, more cost-effective and environmentally for commercial buildings.
Rigorously tested by the University of Missouri Laboratory for Infectious Disease Research (LIDR), the SafeAirUV System is proven to kill 99.9996% of aerosolized SARS-CoV-2 viruses and other harmful pathogenic organisms responsible for bacterial and viral diseases. The SafeAirUV System uses the most potent UV wavelength of 275nm to inactivate viral and bacterial DNA in particles of any size while exchanging the air in rooms multiple times per hour.
